The Mighty Nein's Opening Sequence Selected the Incorrect Popular RPG Show Track

The Mighty Nein, the most recent animated series by Critical Role, unveiled an exciting opening credits. It features our favorite group of outcasts, outcasts, and criminals fighting hard and taking names, while also hinting at several heart-wrenching backstories for key figures including Liam O'Brien's wizard Caleb, and another actor's warlock orc, the character Fjord.

Overall, the intro appears stunning. However, I felt that something was lost in the music selection.

The intro uses "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional song created by artist the talented musician. It's a track originating from the soundtrack album of the same name, the second release released by Critical Role Productions LLC's music division Scanlan Shorthalt Music. It's a great nostalgic option, and I suspect that fans of the second campaign will appreciate its presence.

Personally, The Mighty Nein's opening fails to capture the excitement and excitement that accompanied the second campaign's live-play sessions. "Your Turn to Roll", written by singer-songwriter the artist, became an immediate hit in my view when it was first revealed in 2015, and it only got better when cast member the performer wrote words to the melody for the animated Campaign 2 opening in the later year.

Featuring vocals from one actress, another performer, a co-star, as well as Riegel himself, the song was catchy and enjoyable. At the time, I hadn't even watched the second campaign yet, but this was such an earworm that I still saved it on my phone. This track that knows how to get you pumped before you dive into an episode of adventurous fun.

The show's intro with "the new song" doesn't strike the right notes for me. It's a grand composition, but based on my understanding of the group, I feel that its mood is a little off.

Naturally, the creators has stated that the animated show will have a few changes and variations from the original live sessions. An adjusted mood for its intro appears as one of them.

This animated adventure will be released on the streaming service from Nov. 19. If you can't wait until then, or want a head start to get to know the characters of Critical Role's Campaign 2, the original episodes are available on the audio platform and the video site.
